Now in Our 16th Year of Presenting Theatre for Young People!
Town Hall Theatre provides residents of Montgomery County with an alternative children's theatre program which seeks to educate and entertain audiences of all ages.
Town Hall Theatre's mission is to involve families in every facet of production, from audience members to volunteers to performers, by presenting a season that offers a diverse selection of productions and opportunities.
At Town Hall Theatre, we combine professional directors, designers and educators with community actors and volunteers in an effort to educate and raise the standards of Dayton Community Theatre.
Town Hall Theatre seeks to connect to the child in all of us through three production programs:
The Landmark Children's Theatre Company features mixed casts of adults and children in "landmark productions of the world's finest children's stories." The program casts professionally trained adult actors with community adult and youth performers in an effort to enrich and elevate the community theatre experience through mentorship, actor development and public performance.
The All Children's Theatre presents "theatre about children, with children and for children." Featuring actors ranging from 7 to 18 years of age, the A.C.T. provides a high quality onstage performance experience to young people through the hiring of professional directors and designers to lead each production. Because all who audition are cast, the program emphasizes the educational and social benefits of the performing arts, working to build character and strengthen self-confidence for all participants.
The All Children's Touring Teens mount three to four productions each season that visit local elementary and middle schools in the community following their mainstage performances in the theatre. The program reaches over 16,000 area youth each year and provides opportunities for high school students to connect with their younger peers in a positive and enriching way.
